The Liberty is in the retail heart of Romford, the principal town in the outer eastern London boroughs. It was first built in 1968 on land known as 'Liberty'. In 2001 centre underwent a £54m redevelopment which saw it transformed from being an old sixties style shopping parade to the covered state of the art shopping centre you see today.
