The Liberty’s A/W Fashion Predictions

It’s that time of year again, the shops are starting fill up with soft knitwear and cosy coats, as the weather starts to turn, and we head towards autumn. As we start to transition to our winter wardrobes, we wanted to share some of our top picks and trends, from some of our super stores.

Balloon sleeves

Balloon sleeves are here and are here to stay for Autumn/Winter. Add this Victorian-inspired trend to your wardrobe with a selection of blouses, dresses and jumpers. We are loving this black balloon sleeve jumper, £29 from Topshop in The Liberty, try pairing it with your favourite patterned midi skirt or jeans.

As good as gold

According to Vogue, Gold is a trend to watch out for this Autumn/Winter. Add a pop of gold to your look with these Veja 3 lock trainers, £100 from Office. These stylishly sporty trainers feature 3 leather Velcro straps with gold detailing for both comfort and convenience.

Cardis on the catwalk

Get ready for the colder months with a new selection of knitwear. We are bound to see cardis on the catwalk this year, which is why we have picked out this fabulous ivory belted robe cardigan, £35 from Miss Selfridge in The Liberty. This is the perfect transitional piece and will look great with blue skinny jeans and a pair of Chelsea boots.

Hiking boot heaven

This year we expect hiking boots to be back in fashion for both men and women. These men’s Batcombe Alp GORE-TEX Black Nubuck, £120 from Clarks include a waterproof gore-tex membrane and a durable rubber outsole for both comfort and style.

Cosy capes

Get ahead of the trend with a new cape for your A/W wardrobe. This black mono check cape jacket, £68 from River Island, shows off a checked design with a zip front a fur collar, and is the perfect jacket to wear if you’re not ready for a thick winter coat just yet.

The utility jacket

The utility jacket is back for 2020 and we are loving this men’s Khaki Lightweight Utility Four Pocket Jacket, £60 from Next in The Liberty. Pair with jeans and boots in the day, or with a shirt underneath and leather brogues for a more sophisticated evening look.
