Wild Slyde Returns to The Liberty in Charity Event
The Liberty Shopping Centre welcomes the return of their ‘Wild Slyde’ charity competition between Monday 26th – Friday 30th August. Slide into the end of the summer holidays with a fun activity for all ages.
Visitors to the centre are encouraged to embrace their competitive side, all in aid of winning £500 for fastest slider’s charity of choice. A unique, impact-free sport, the Wild Slyde returns to the shopping centre this summer for children and adults alike to enjoy.
The Liberty is inviting shoppers, local companies, charities and community groups from Romford and surrounding areas to take part in event. Over the course of the week, participants will compete against one another in the hopes of achieving the fastest time. The contestant with the speediest slide over the entire week will be awarded £500 to gift to their chosen charity.
Created by Weininger Irwin, the UK’s first ‘Gladiator’, the Wild Slyde is an activity designed to be an inclusive sport that everyone can enjoy. Regardless of physical ability, the Wild Slyde is a specially designed mat. Race your friends down the 13-metre resistance slide in the heart of the shopping centre. Featuring four lanes, it’s the perfect activity for the whole family.
Jonathan Poole, Centre Manager at The Liberty, commented: “We’re so happy to welcome back the Wild Slyde this summer and encourage some healthy competition between families, friends and colleagues.”
“We hope that visitors will enjoy this fun event once again by supporting some fantastic charities.”
If you are a charity, organisation or simply a competitive individual, slide down to The Liberty Shopping Centre between Monday 26th – Friday 30th August.
